TWO men were arrested yesterday after police carried out raids on suspected drug farms.
Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £45,000, and growing equipment were seized by officers in the South Moor area of Stanley, County Durham.
In a dawn raid, a 30-year-old man was arrested and about two dozen cannabis plants seized, along with cultivation equipment.
Later in the day, a raid was carried out at a second house where a man in his early 30s was arrested and another 21 plants and equipment seized.
Both suspects were interviewed at Consett police station before being released on police bail
