HARTLEPOOL United boss Chris Turner is ready to change his tactics when Third Division leaders Plymouth Argyle make the trip to Victoria Park this afternoon.
The promoted Pilgrims won for the 28th time this season at home to Bristol Rovers on Saturday and strengthened their bid to go up as champions.
And Turner, whose side were defeated 1-0 at Home Park in November, knows nothing other than three points will do if Hartlepool want to keep alive their slim play-off hopes.
Pool are seven points adrift of seventh-placed Rushden and Diamonds with four games to play.
And Turner, still without midfielder Mark Tinkler through injury, said after Saturday's 2-1 success at Oxford: "All we can do is keep going and that's what we intend to do.
"We have won our first one of five and Oxford's a hard place to go and win.
"Plymouth will be a totally different game. They play a strange formation of 4-1-4-1 and we'll have to play at least 4-4-2 against them - it's a tester. I'm sure they'll want to go up as champions.
"We were under a lot of pressure when we went down there and we were beaten 1-0. Hopefully we can reverse that and get the points which will take us nicely into the next game."
He added: "But regardless of what happens on Monday we have done tremendously to climb from the bottom of the League to where we are today. If we'd have had a decent start we would have been challenging for top spot."
Pool's victory at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday was not their best performance of the season, according to Turner.
But the former Sunderland and Manchester United 'keeper praised his side's commitment throughout the 90 minutes.
" I can think of Kidderminster, Torquay and Hull where we have played better than this and come away with nothing," said Turner.
"The performance had everything. It had flair, determination and it had two great goals.
"I thought they all played well and gave everything they could give on a hot afternoon.
"We needed a bit of luck which has deserted us a lot this season, and we got the points."
Turner also had praise for Michael Barron and Paul Arnison who had to adapt to a change of position at Oxford.
Barron was pushed to right-back and Arnison was played in right-midfield for the second half as Pool tried to combat the threat of Oxford's tricky winger Chris Hackett.
And Turner said: "I was never comfortable at 2-0 and I thought the boy Hackett caused us problems.
"We decided to go 4-4-2 in the second half and we combated the lad. He had a good ten minutes in the second half but then sub Mark Robinson stuck to his task.
He added: "I don't know with Paul Arnison. He played well at Carlisle and then last Friday against Macclesfield on his own pitch he seemed to lack confidence. But at Oxford I thought he did superbly again.
"Micky also did well when he got switched out wide."
