A chemist is linking up with one of North Yorkshire's carers' groups to reflect a new national partnership.
Moss Pharmacy has adopted the Princess Royal Trust for Carers as its charity for the next 12 months.
To confirm the commitment, the Northallerton branch has committed itself to helping the Hambleton Carers Centre in its work in North Yorkshire.
"We believe our pharmacies are much more than prescription dispensing centres and a place for nice gifts," said Moss spokesman Roger Cotton.
"I have no doubt that many of our customers are carers and it will be great if we can raise awareness of the trust and put some carers in touch."
Alison Ryan, from the trust, said: "This partnership should not only raise money for our cause but also help a lot more carers find their way to one of our 111 carers' centres.
