A Disability Awareness day is to be held in Stanhope. The event, organised by Wear Valley Disability Access Forum, will offer advice for people with disabilities and their carers.

PARTNERSHIP MEETS: The next meeting of Bishop Auckland Community Partnership is on Thursday, April 11, at 10.30am, at Bishop Auckland Methodist Church.
MEDIEVAL FAIR: A disco at which this year's Sedgefield Medieval Fair queen will be chosen, is planned for Saturday, May 4, in the village's Ceddesfeld Hall, from 7pm to 9pm. The event is open to 11-year-olds and under. Entry will cost £1.
CRAFT SHOW: Entrants are invited for the handcraft exhibition at Great Aycliffe Show, which takes place on June 22 and 23. There are 80 classes to enter, including home-baked scones, embroidery, art and photography. BLOOD DONORS: Sessions for blood donors are being held at Eastbourne Methodist Church, Darlington, on Thursday, April 11, between 3pm and 7pm, and on Friday, April 26, at the village hall, Yarm Road, Eaglescliffe, between 3pm and 7pm.

CLEANING UP: Children in Sunnybrow, near Willington, are embarking on a litter pick tomorrow, as part of the Tidy Britain Group's Just Bin It campaign. They will be meeting at 10am, at Collier House Community College. Qualified staff will be supervising their efforts.
