A GROUP of young gymnasts took part in a fundraising display at a Darlington supermarket at the weekend.
The members of Darlington Gymnastics Club gave two displays at the Morrisons store in Morton Park on Saturday.
The youngsters were raising money for the club, which is based at the Eastbourne Sports Complex.
Some children performed while others joined family and friends in helping shoppers pack their bags, for donations.
The club, which is run by volunteers, trains children from the age of four. It was the first club of Aloyd Redhead, who competed in the Olympics in the 1980s.
A spokesman for the club said: "We need as much money as possible and are always in need of donations."
Anyone who would like to support the club is asked to call (01325) 483732.
