A GROUP of enthusiasts has been piecing together the achievements of a community centre.
Children and adults have made more than 3,000 coloured tiles into a giant mosaic depicting the activities taking place in Langdon Square Community Centre, Coulby Newham, near Middlesbrough.
Keith Cook, chairman of the management committee, which commissioned the work, said: "We wanted to celebrate the achievements of all the groups that use the centre. The mosaic is now a colourful addition to the coffee bar area and a constant topic of conversation."
Artist Kerry Marshall who worked with the group, said: "The young people were just marvellous. They worked really hard over two days, starting at ten and working until almost six each day.
"It was hard work, but also a lot of fun putting it together. Everyone involved is really proud.
