ORGANISERS are bracing themselves for a rush for tickets for a North-East pop extravaganza.
The Galaxy Out There concert, in aid of the Prince's Trust, will bring together bands such as Blue, Liberty X and the Sugarbabes for a concert at Gateshead International Stadium on June 29.
More than 35,000 tickets are available, but the organisers are warning that demand will be high.
Run by radio station Galaxy 105-106, the event will be the first of its kind in the region and will bring together 20 of the biggest names in UK pop.
It is hoped to raise a six-figure sum for the trust.
Galaxy managing director Martyn Healy said: "With headline acts such as Blue having already confirmed and artists swapping diary dates to be able to attend, we know this concert will be a huge success."
Tickets, costing £17.50 plus a booking fee, are available from 0870 7307305 and at HMV stores around the region.
