Darren Yeoman and Kenneth Atkinson of Tow Law New Market added to their Pairs Championship when they shared the responsibility of playing the Captain's games throughout the season and ended up taking the title with 22 points.

Willington League
The League Pairs Championship attracted a large entry with the players aiming to win through to a place in the Finals Night, which will take place at the Victoria Club on Monday, May 20. In the top section of the draw the play-off came with Norman Bolam and Colin Pratt against Colin Davison and Lyndon Taylor with the former pair winning through. In the lower section of the draw the decider was between Ian Richardson and John Mason against Michael Irwin and Stephen Hutchinson with the later pair going forward.
Wear Valley Ladies
Crook Royal Sun had the chance of closing the gap on the leading Crook Golden Fleece, who were without a match, but missed the opportunity when they went down by three points to Oakenshaw Club. The result also meant that the Royal Sun failed to move clearly away from the third placed, Crook Mill House, who were also idle and now are only four points behind the Royal Sun, who are 14 behind the Fleece with an extra match played.
The leading individual scorers were Barbara Atkinson 140 for Oakenshaw, Margaret Reid 138 and Nadine Maddison 122 for Sunnydene Lodge, Donna Bibby 133 for the Mill House, Heidi Boam 134 for the Queen's Head, Carol Coote 129 and 128 and Margaret Storey 126 for the Coach and Horses, Gail Hamilton 124 for the White Swan and Rachel Anderson 123 for the Royal Sun. Gillian Thompson made the best check out of the week with 108 for the Mill House.

Farrers Arms beat Old Horseshoe in the final of the dominoes knockout. On their way to the final Farrers beat Cricket Club 3-1, Royal George 4-1 and Market 3-2.
Old Horseshoe reached the final with victories over Fleece A 3-0, Belle Vue 3-1 and Jelly's B 3-2.
