A SHOP where Pop Idol Zoe Birkett buys her clothes last night gave a lucky shopper the chance to see the young star in concert.
John Coxon, the owner of Leggs, in Darlington, organised a raffle for two tickets for the Pop Idol concert at the Newcastle Telewest Arena in honour of the town's own diva, 16-year-old Zoe.
Zoe's mother, Tracey, was on hand this week to give the tickets to the winner, Crystal Atkins, of Darlington, who was due to go to last night's concert with her sister, Delaney.
Mr Coxon said: "Zoe has always been a customer at the shop and we know her and her mum quite well.
"Since she's been on television, she has worn some of our clothes, which was very exciting for us.
"I managed to get some of the Pop Idol tour tickets and thought it would be good for our customers if we raffled two off.
"We always knew Zoe was a star and it is great to see her doing so well.
