Phil Nixon of Ferryhill came within the width of a wire to making a ten-dart finish. As it turned out he missed with three on the outside of the scoring area and ended with a 14 dart game, which included a maximum. The other maximum marksmen of the week were Trevor Kerr and Malcolm Hughes of Byers Green, Jason Bone of Willington and Colin Barron of Crowtrees.

Byers Green and Cockton Hill share the top spot in the darts section with Crook Belle Vue seven points behind but with a match in hand. All three teams are unbeaten. In the dominoes section the Prospect, Victoria, Ferryhill and Willington all share the top place. Cockton Hill and Ferryhill share the leadership of the pool section with Crook Belle Vue, unbeaten and with a match in hand, and the Victoria just a point behind.

Willington Ladies League

Ithe first round of the League darts Doubles Knock-out Willington Lion and Unicorn pulled off a very good victory over the visiting Hunwick Quarry Burn. The Lion and Unicorn had finished the league matches in equal bottom place, whilst the Quarry Burn had been a title contender, eventually ending up in third spot. The home side managed to pull off a whitewash success.
