Riverside FC
the U10s' good form continued with a 4-0 win over South Tyneside and a 9-0 win over Fulwell. Craig Lynch, Ricky Fenwick, Johnny Staff and Johnny Hewittson were on target against South Tyneside and the scorers against Fulwell were Craig Lynch (3), Johnny Staff (2), Jay Bracewell, Ricky Fenwick, Johnny Hewitson and Kieron McDonald. In the same league Tyneside Boys went down 1-0 to Ashbrook and 4-1 to Nissan. Jake Clark scoring the only goal for Riverside. The U12s were away to Premier League leaders Plains Farm and with only ten available it was always going to an uphill fight. Despite gpoing a goal down shortly after the kick off Riverside continued to battle and were rewarded with a deserved equaliser when Craig Towers knocked in a cross from David Winter. At this stage of the game the ten men were giving as good as they got and were unlucky to concede a second goal just before the interval. In the second half the physical effort of playing with ten men began to tell and Plains Farms eventually won 6-2. This was a tremendous team effort by Riverside which was not reflected in the score.
City of Durham
The Pumas entertained Redby again and again maintained their Premiership challenge with a 4-0 victory, with a brilliant goalkeeping display from the Redby keeper keeping the score down.
Goalscorers: Anthony 'Dink' Fryatt, James Marwood 2 and Olly Hotchkiss. Good Luck to the Pumas who will be playing in the final of the Durham County Cup on Tuesday 9th April at Eppleton CW Ground
The Panthers, the only Durham team playing over the Easter break, again kept up their quest for promotion with a 3-1 win over Peterlee Youth. The 'Black Cats' played some lovely football and were rewarded with lovely goals from Joe Lawther , Michael Lynch and James 'Jackie' Milburn.
Coxhoe Boys
The Under-13s geared up for tonight's match at Spennymoor United's Brewery Field with a convincing 8-2 win over Newburn in the Invitation Cup last weekend.
New signing Michael Owen - not the Liverpool and England striker of the same name - netted a hat-trick and Jamie Lawson bagged a brace while Lee Soppitt, Tom Morgan and David Taylor also scored.
Manager Bobby Orton was pleased with the performance, saying: "We played some canny football and did what I expected us to do."
Goalkeeper Tom Orton recovered from a recent illness to retake his place in goal and had a good game.
Tonight Coxhoe hope to make it third time lucky when they play Felling at Spennymoor.
The game has twice been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch but tonight's match is expected to get the go-ahead. Coxhoe are away to Consett on Sunday
