A PRIVATE hospital is running a series of events to promote women's health.
Woodlands Hospital, in Darlington, is hosting the events for the Townswomen's Guild, to enable members to learn about health issues.
Twenty women from the guild's Hummersknott and Woodham division attended the first event, which included a tour of the hospital.
Dr Suzanne Dolby, at the hospital, also gave a talk on podiatry - the care and treatment of feet - with topics including caring for feet, knees and backs, and coping with walking problems.
Future topics for discussion at the monthly events will be pain control and treatments for painful knee joints.
