DUNCAN Haigh's award-winning black pudding has already found fame in Thirsk - and now it's even proving a hit across the English Channel.
Doreen's Black Pudding, which Mr Haigh named after his mother, has won a coveted gold medal at an international competition in Normandy, France.
The delicacy was tested by judges, traders and members of the public before taking the award at the contest, organised by the Guild of the Knights of the "Goute-Boudin."
The distinctive triangular pudding was produced by the family business, based at Dalton Industrial Estate.
Mr Haigh attended this year's presentation ceremony and is planning to return next year, as he bids to secure the cherished title of Knight of the Black Pudding.
