Rochdale 3 - 1 Darlington - A three-goal blast in the first half condemned Darlington to another away defeat at Rochdale.
Quakers had gone in front in the third minute when Barry Conlon scored from close range but just four minutes later Dale were back on level terms.
Clive Platt scored the equalising goal and then Lee McEvilly put Rochdale in front when his shot from distance was adjudged to have crossed the line after crashing off the underside of the bar.
The game was wrapped up when former Blackpool winger Paul Simpson turned in a low shot after 'keeper Chris Porter could only parry a long range effort.
