A WOMAN doused herself in paint thinner and set fire to her clothes following a domestic dispute.
The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday, at Revelstoke Road, on the Redhouse Estate, in Sunderland.
After an argument, the unnamed woman poured what is thought to have been paint thinner or turpentine substitute over herself and set alight to her clothes.
Her husband tore them off and put her into the bath, but she suffered 30 per cent burns to her torso.
The woman then left the property for a friend's house in Rosyth Road, where the fire brigade was called two hours after the incident.
She was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital by ambulance.
