A SENIOR clergyman who earned a reputation for his forthright views was invited to voice his support for one of the UK's biggest advisory networks.
Former Bishop of Durham, Dr David Jenkins, is a patron of the Friends of Hambleton Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB). On Saturday, he helped to launch the organisation's newest North Yorkshire branch.
The Northallerton office, in South Parade has now closed, to be replaced by a centre overlooking the green on the town's North End. Formerly Mowbray House doctor's surgery, the centre is shared with the Hambleton and Richmond Advocacy Services, the Housing Advice Resource Project, After Adoption, Relate, and the Adult Placement scheme. There is also room at the centre for other organisations looking for space for meetings or seminars. Also at the launch were representatives from funding partners, including North Yorkshire County Council and Hambleton District Council
