SIX new healthcare groups in County Durham and Darlington have launched their own websites.
The Primary Care Trusts were created on April 1 to oversee care in the community by GPs at clinics, health centres and in people's homes.
They bring together doctors, nurses and other stakeholders such as social services and local councils and give them a lead role in planning, providing and developing high-quality health services.
The websites will provide the public and health professionals with information on the trusts' work in a clear and understandable format.
They include how to access local health services, contact details for GPs, pharmacies, dentists and opticians, news on job vacancies within the trusts, the chance the give feedback, and links to health related websites.
The sites can be accessed at: www.darlington-pct.nhs.uk, www.derwentside-pct.nhs.uk, www.durhamdales-pct.nhs.uk, www.durhamcls-pct.nhs.uk, www.easington-pct.nhs.uk and www.sedgefield-pct.nhs.uk
