PATIENTS on the children's ward at the University Hospital of Hartlepool were presented with special gifts.
Jason Mawhinney and his mother, Lesley, presented the children with a basket of 173 chocolate eggs, which he won as a prize at Lightwater Valley, near Ripon, North Yorkshire.
Jason, from Wingate, came closest to guessing how many eggs were in the basket while visiting the theme park over Easter.
Jason's winning calculation gave him the chance to present the chocolates to a children's hospital or charity of his choice.
He also won another trip to the park for himself and his family.
