TFM radio presenter Greg Upwards launched the St Teresa's Hospice Family Fun Day at Darlington Rugby Club yesterday.
The fun day takes place on Sunday, August 18, and if it is anything like the last three events, it will be a big success for the hospice.
Jane Bradshaw, hospice director, said: "This will be our fourth 'knockout' event, but this year we have made it bigger and better, incorporating it into a fabulous family fun day which, in addition to raising lots of money for the hospice, will be a fantastic, fun- filled day for all-comers.
"We have got fairground stalls, displays, a giant bouncy castle, a gladiators' jousting tournament and slippery pole pillow fight, and much more for the family to enjoy.
"Our friends at Darlington Operatic Society are sponsoring the event."
Fun-loving teams are needed to represent their companies in the knockout, which should raise lots of money for the hospice.
