A DISPLAY of mining memorabilia will be staged to mark the 120th anniversary of a disaster at a village colliery.
Thirty-five men and boys were killed in an explosion at Tudhoe Colliery, County Durham, in April 1882.
As part of the commemorations, the Durham Mining Museum, housed at Easington Miners' Welfare Hall, will mount a visiting exhibition of memorabilia and artefacts, at Spennymoor Town Hall.
The display will run from next Thursday to Saturday, from 10am to 4pm daily. Admission is free.
