A Darlington drama group is staging a new production of a literary classic.
Stepps will be bringing Mark Twain's classic Tom Sawyer to life with its production of Tom and Huckleberry. The group, which is based at St Teresa's Church, Eastbourne, will be on stage at Darlington College of Technology from April 17 to 21. Its play stars singer Ursula Massingham, who found TV fame in the 1970s on Opportunity Knocks.
Louise Burnside, who has been with the group since she was a child, plays Huckleberry Finn. Tickets cost £4 for adults and £3 for children and concessions. For details call (01325) 352349 or (01388) 778906.
