THEATRE-GOERS will be taken back to the war years when a new production visits Teesside later this month.
Private Angelo is a light-hearted musical set against the upheaval of the Second World War.
It has been put together by the same team which brought a version of Captain Corelli's Mandolin to Hartlepool's Town Hall Theatre.
Set in 1943, at the time of Italy's surrender, Private Angelo tells the story of an ordinary Italian soldier.
It has been brought to life by Mike Maran and his performers, adapted from a book by Eric Linklater.
It takes to the stage at Hartlepool on Monday, April 29, at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £6 (concessions £5) and are available from (01429) 890000.
