A CHARITY manager has received a qualification from the college where she served as a governor.
Brenda Baxter, area manager for the Prince's Trust in County Durham, received an NVQ level five in business management - the equivalent of a master's degree - from the City of Sunderland College, where she served for 12 years.
Although she has now relinquished her governership, she has also achieved an NVQ level four in training and development from the college.
As an area manager for the Prince's Trust, whose president is the Prince of Wales, Mrs Baxter is responsible for the delivery of its business start-up programme, which supports hundreds of young people into self-employment every year.
