A musician's car was raided by thieves who stole two sets of bagpipes and a snare drum in Morrisons' car park, Neasham Road, Darlington, between 11.50am and 1.05pm on Friday. Robbery charge: Three youths will appear in court this week charged with robbing a 12-year-old boy. The incident is alleged to have happened on Sunday, April 7, in Borough Road, Darlington and the trio, aged between 11 and 14 were arrested on Friday by Darlington police. All three are charged with robbery, as well as offences of criminal damage, theft from a motor vehicle and burglary, police said last night. They will appear before Darlington Youth Court on Friday.

SEATS STOLEN: Two wood and cast iron garden seats were stolen from the back of a block of flats in Staindrop Road, Darlington, last week. Anybody with information should contact police in Darlington on (01325) 467681 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

NEW OFFICER: A new Citizens' Advice Bureau outreach worker has been appointed with the help of Darlington's Cockerton West and Branksome community group Cable. caravans safe: Managers at Turners compound, in Sedgefield, have reassured owners after four caravans were stolen almost two weeks ago. The company has been inundated with calls from owners who fear their vehicles were taken, and say anybody affected has already been contacted. One caravan has been recovered.

BAND NIGHT: Middleton Silver Band will perform at Wind Mill Methodist Chapel, Teesdale, at 7.30pm, on Friday night, in aid of a new roof for the venue. Tickets cost £3 and are available from church members or by calling Joyce on (01388) 718597.

Whist night: Summerhouse Village Hall will host a whist drive tomorrow, at 7.30pm, and a coffee morning on Saturday, from 10.30am to noon. Entry to each event will cost £1, which includes coffee on Saturday.
