A FREEMASON has expressed his thanks to a hospital by organising a fundraising drive.
After a short stay in the neurological ward of Newcastle General Hospital last October, David Frostwick, master of City Lodge, Durham, decided to raise money for other patients' comfort.
He enlisted the help of the masters of seven other lodges, and together they raised £850 at lodge meetings and social events.
After arranging a special deal with the Argos store chain, Mr Frostwick and his fellow masters presented two, 21in TVs and nine portable TVs to Sister Helen Hastie, of the neurological ward.
