PUPILS from six North-East secondary schools visited Cambridge to get a taste of life at a top university.
Thirty-six Hartlepool students visited Kings College, where they stayed overnight, were given a tour and took part in a project.
Karen Adams, from Hartlepool Borough Council's education department, said: "The visit was all about raising pupils' aspirations. People do not always aim high enough in life, and the visit hopefully convinced these students that they have the credentials and potential to win a place at a university like Cambridge.
