POLICE are warning parents to be on their guard after a man attempted to entice a teenager into his car.

The 14-year-old was walking along Hambleton View, in Bedale, North Yorkshire, when a car drove up slowly and stopped alongside him.

The driver asked the boy to get into the car with him but drove off when the teenager refused.

The driver was in his late twenties or early thirties, and had a shaven head. He was wearing a dark blue sweatshirt. His car was a small, black, three-door hatchback.
