STUDENTS at a Weardale school have created their own designs for a fashion show.
Year ten textile students from Wolsingham School and Community College have been putting the finishing touches to their outfits ahead of the show today.
About 15 models will be taking part in the show, which also includes a musical interlude from club singer Amber.
Anita Atkinson, secretary of the school's Parent Teacher Association, said: "I've seen most of the clothes and they are wonderful.
"They have also managed to persuade some members of staff to dress as their favourite characters, and we have got a Bob the Builder, Woody from Toy Story and the Nutty Professor.
"The kids are raising money for an embroidery machine, but I think they are going to get more than that because it has been very popular."
Hairdresser Johnny Plautus volunteered to style the models' hair at his salon in Cockton Hill Road, Bishop Auckland. He also agreed to give a hairdressing demonstration.
Mrs Atkinson said: "He offered, and he's given up all this spare time, so we're really grateful."
Tickets for the show, which starts at 7pm, are available at the door.
