PUPILS are to get expert help on a peacekeeping mission.
Viz cartoonist Steve Donald will help pupils at Joseph Swan School, in Low Fell, Gateshead, to design a leaflet.
Its purpose is to help young people handle consumer issues, or discussions with parents.
Pupils will also take part in negotiation lessons and workshops, in order to understand more about consumer issues.
The Gateshead council project, funded by the Consumer Support network, aims to teach pupils aged 13 or 14 how to negotiate and reach compromise in various situations involving shopkeepers, or their parents.
