With one round only played to date this season's fixtures have suffered severely from the weather and rearranged dates have been made for the Blackwell Grange and Bedale fixtures. Thirsk claimed top spot albeit by only one point from Catterick Garrison. The results of this round were as follows: 188 points Thirsk and Northallerton, 187 Catterick Garrison, 182 Blackwell Grange, 179 Crook, 170 Bedale and Richmond. Today's prizewinners were: 43 points C Anderson and J Jefferson (Thirsk and Northallerton); 41 J Doughty and W Stanley (Catterick Garrison); 39 C Carveth and S Suffell (Catterick Garrison), and A Flinn and P Thrives (Blackwell Grange).
After two rounds the overall position is as followed: 368 points Thirsk and Northallerton, 364 Crook, 359 Catterick Garrison, 355 Blackwell Grange, 346 Bedale, 330 Richmond.

To thank the club's sponsors for their support over the years, a Stableford competition was played to allow them to enjoy the club's facilities and to complete the day with a meal after the exertions of a round of golf.

April Medal
A beautiful day for the first medal of the season 152 players trying their skills on a course in good conditions but playing long.
Bedale's top golfer Kevin Ward won the best gross prize with a 72 which was also the standard scratch for the day.
Leading scorer for the various divisions as follows: Division One: 69 Stephen Black (12), John Forrester (8), Dave Brown (9). Card countback required. Division Two: 64 Colin Baines (19), Matthew Johnson (16); 71 David Beardsworth (16) and Kevin Clinton (19), card countback required. Division Three: 69 Marco Curcurullo (25), 71 William Abbotson (24).
Seniors
Seniors also enjoyed their first medal of the season but found the course tough playing off the medal tees. The leading scores were as follows: 73 Dennis Power (19), 74 George Wood (19), 75 Cedric Tideswell (22), 77 Les Kitching (13).
