HOUSE of Fraser is creating 100 jobs at its flagship store at the MetroCentre.
Metrojobs, part of the JobCentre Plus network, is carrying out recruitment work for the store.
The job creation follows the shop being awarded the "store of the year award" for its excellent customer service, gauged by sales targets and by mystery customers.
Full and part-time jobs are being created in the men's and women's designer range departments.
Fay Meeks, recruitment manager at House of Fraser, said: "We are delighted to achieve the prestigious store of the year award and be able to announce the creation of 100 jobs."
Patricia Dunn, manager at Metrojobs, said: "We are delighted to be helping House of Fraser recruit its new staff. This is excellent news for anyone who would like to develop a career in retail."
To find out more about the job opportunities, which cover day, evening and weekend hours, contact the House of Fraser recruitment line on 0191-451 4152 or visit Metrojobs on the upper level of the red quadrant of the MetroCentre.
"There will be a range of full and part-time hours available during the day, evening and at weekends."
