Seaham Red Star have announced that they have withdrawn their resignation from the league.
Seaham who were runners up only two years ago, submitted their resignation to the league three weeks ago because of a lack of committee men at Welfare Park.
But following an open meeting, enough people have come forward in order to keep the club alive.
Secretary John Smith, who has been running the club virtually on his own, said: "Enough people have come forward to take up some of the roles.
"Finance wasn't a problem at the club, it was just that we didn't have enough bodies.
"I couldn't do everything on my own, and it is a heavy task trying to run a Northern League club single handed."
Northern League secretary Tony Golightly said: "We've received a formal request from Seaham to withdraw their resignation.
"I am pleased to say that they have had three very successful meetings and people have come forward."
Seaham play their penultimate First Division game before their relegation to the Second Division at Peterlee today.
The league title will be decided today if Bedlington beat West Auckland and clinch their fifth successive championship.
Bedlington will be close to full strength, while West will be without four players, while midfielder Paul Stout will have a fitness test.
Tow Law can strengthen their chances of second place if they beat Billingham Synthonia at Ironworks Road.
Defender Micky Vasey and midfielder Steve Walker are both missing, while Synners, who are playing their last game, have a squad of 13 to choose from.
Lawyers need two wins from five games for the runners-up spot.
In the relegation zone, second-bottom Thornaby will be pushed closer to the drop if Ashington win at Guisborough.
Ashington are currently six points clear of Thornaby, who have just three games remaining.
Guisborough will be without midfielder Chris Keegans because of injury and striker Micky Dunwell because of suspension.
Consett can complete their escape from relegation if they win at third-bottom Morpeth. Alan Batey and Dave Gray, who both picked up knocks in the win over Whitley Bay on Thursday, will have fitness tests, but Chris Hodgson, Rod Butler and Darren Grimes all return.
But the Second Division is more exciting than the First Division at the moment, with five teams still in with a chance of going up
Leaders Esh Winning will take a huge step closer to the First Division if they win at third-placed Penrith.
Esh are currently three points clear of Shildon, but with five teams still in contention, might still need 90 points to make certain. They will be at full strength.
Shildon can also strengthen their promotion hopes against Easington at Dean Street, but they will be without midfielder Brian Healy, who has a knee injury. Defender Lee Collings will have a fitness test.
Easington have just two games remaining, and need to win to keep their hopes alive.
Prudhoe are still in with a shout in fifth place, and they can keep the pressure on the leaders by beating lowly Shotton.
In the other First Division games, Vase finalists Whitley Bay have several players missing for their game at Jarrow Roofing, but manager Andy Gowens is hopeful that he won't have to play as he did on Thursday at Consett.
Roofing are without defenders Scott Garrett and Dave Moore because of injury, while striker Craig Nelson will have a fitness test.
Billingham Town are looking for revenge for their recent defeat at Chester-le-Street when the pair meet at Bedford Terrace. Richie Ward and David Gallagher are both out through injury.
Durham City, who still have the League Cup final to look forward to, are without striker Tony Healer because of injury at home to Marske United, but Geoff Stephenson returns in defence.
