THE Round Table's Durham branch is among those celebrating the organisation's 75th birthday.
Over the period, the organisation has raised £300m for charity.
It has also amassed more than 12,000 members in Tables throughout the UK, including Durham Dunelm Round Table.
Table chairman Dr Sanjay Patel said: "We are extremely proud of the role that Round Table plays in Durham.
"It gives us a real sense of achievement, whether we are raising funds for local charities or helping out in the community.
"At the same time, we have great fun all working together."
The Round Table, whose members are men aged 18 to 45, raises about £6m a year, mainly for local charities.
It was founded in Norwich in 1927 by Louis Marchesi, the son of a Swiss confectioner.
Anyone interested in joining Durham Dunelm Round Table, which meets every fortnight at the Bowburn Hall Hotel, is asked to contact Richard Skilbeck on 0191-386 2533.
