People living in Northallerton are preparing to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee in style.
Troops from RAF Leeming have signed up for a full parade through the town's High Street and planes from the station will fly over the town.
The celebrations begin on Sunday, June 2 at 2.30pm with an ecumenical church service, led by Canon Fox.
Planes from the station have taken commemorative aerial shots of the town, which will be on sale during the festivities. Proceeds will go to Northallerton Royal Air Force Association.
The next meeting of the jubilee steering group is on Wednesday at 7pm in the town hall.
Anyone wanting to contribute ideas for the celebrations can attend the meeting or call Councillor Sally Anderson, mayor of Northallerton and chairwoman of the jubilee steering group, on (01609) 776718.
