THE search for a missing ex-miner will continue this weekend.
Edward Donnelly, 52, was last seen at the home he shares with his sister in Fynway, Sacriston, County Durham, before he went missing on March 25.
Two weeks ago, the Teesdale and Weardale Search and Rescue Team and police carried out a two-day hunt.
Search controller Dave Bartles-Smith said that, using information from Mr Donnelly's family, the teams will be concentrating on areas around his home in Sacriston and in areas towards Durham City.
He said: "Mr Donnelly is known locally, but is the sort of man who kept himself to himself.
"He is very purposeful in what he does. For example he would go to the shops and come straight back. He is not the type of man that would talk to people he did not know. His disappearance is out of character."
Mr Donnelly was last seen wearing an orange jumper with grey and black patches, black jeans and a green, hooded wax jacket.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Chester-le-Street police on 0191-388 4311.
