MEMBERS of the public are being invited to flex their muscles at an annual body building show at the weekend.
The 15th Mr and Miss City of Durham Body Building Show takes place at the Meadowfield Sports Centre on Saturday.
Judging in male and female categories will be conducted during the day, from 11am to 3pm. The evening show and prize-giving starts at 7pm.
Guest of honour is Britain's strongest man, Steve Brooks, who will give demonstrations.
Spectators are welcome to join in the evening events, by having a go at some of the dips and pull-ups which the competitors adopt in training.
The event will be rounded off with a disco.
The competitions usually attract between 200 to 300 people during the day, with 400 expected at the evening session.
Tickets for the day-time events cost £2.50, and for the evening £5.
To obtain further details and to make bookings, contact leisure officer Ned Tobin at the sports centre, on 0191-378 9888.
