A murder investigation was launched after a father-of-seven was found dying in the street, police said today.

A team of 30 officers are on the hunt to find the killer of unemployed Mark Richardson, 39, who was stabbed outside his home in Raleigh Road, Norton, Cleveland, at around 10pm Sunday.

He was taken to North Tees General Hospital where he died shortly after arriving.

Cleveland Police arrested three men aged between 33 and 42 who were today being questioned. The 42-year-old who was arrested suffered facial injuries and was still being treated in hospital today.

A 17-year-old youth was also being treated in hospital for stab injuries to his hand.

The team of officers has recovered a knife from the area and are continuing to investigate reports of a number of violent incidents in the area last night.
