AN artist's colourful creations are being snapped up after they went on display at a pub.
Paul Muncaster, 22, from Chester-le-Street, County Durham, has used a range of media, including hot wax, oil paintings, and Biro drawings for his Colours and Compositions exhibition, at Saints pub, in Durham City.
Comprising 32 pieces, which adorn the pub's walls, the exhibition is the latest in a series of three-month displays to be staged there.
Mr Muncaster, who currently teaches art to adults with multiple sclerosis and disaffected youths, said: "Most of the venues up here have to be booked for about four years in advance, and Saints is about the only pub in the North-East that has art on show.
"It's a fantastic venue, but I wouldn't mind doing gallery exhibitions, too."
Mr Muncaster said the response to his work had already been positive. "About five have been sold so far," he said. The works are priced from £50.
