PLANS for York's biggest ever celebration of music, as part of the Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations and the national BBC Music Live festival, were announced yesterday.
York Live Music Festival will incorporate local BBC Music Live entertainment, as well as the J Nights Jazz Festival and community events.
The festival aims to build on two previous years of BBC Music Live events with a "music-for-everyone" approach over the two weeks before the main Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations on Bank Holiday Monday, June 3.
City councillor Alan Jones, said: "Once again, it is great that the council has teamed up with the BBC in a public service partnership promising entertainment for all."
