FUNDRAISERS are gearing up for their annual moneyspinner.
Shildon will be buzzing over the August Bank Holiday, with a host of entertainment.
Showband The Piggies takes to the stage at Sunnydale Leisure Centre, on Saturday, August 24, at 7pm.
The next day, a three-mile fun run will set off from Shildon Millennium Running Stadium and finish at Jubilee Fields.
The entry fee for the event is £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for juniors. All runners will receive a medal and certificate.
Visitors to the Jubilee Fields can enjoy a variety of activities and entertainment throughout the rest of Sunday, including crafts, vintage and classic car displays, a pipe band, Punch and Judy, magicians, face-painters, a falconry display and a tug-o-war contest.
Tickets for the Saturday night concert are on sale for £5 at the leisure centre.
All proceeds raised from the event, organised by the Thickley Ward Labour Party, will go to the Butterwick Hospice in Bishop Auckland.
