In the League Cup Semi-Final Stranton Saints Hartlepool came back from behind to win at Whitley Bay Churches and book a place in the final with Monkwearmouth Christians.
Jeff Turnbull put Whitley Bay in the lead but David Appleton squared the match that went into extra time. In the second half of extra time Neil Pearson scored to give Stranton Saints a 2-1 win.
In the first division Jesmond Parish Church went top but it took them until the 80th minute for Andy Widdrington to put the ball past the Monkwearmouth Christians in a 1-0 win.
Metro Church were against Consett Methodist Church and it ended in a 2-2 draw. Home team Consett took the lead from Neil James. Kevin Elliott equalised for Metro. In the second half Philip Dodd put Consett back in the lead with Simon Normandale squaring the match for Metro.
Heworth Christian Fellowship claimed three valuable pionts for a stay of execution from relegation with a 3-0 win over Heaton Hearts who are not safe themselves 0-0 at half time. Tony Smith opened the scoring with Nick Rowlings getting the second and third.
Bethshan Christian Centre took the lead at Airport Church from Chris Thompson just before half time. Andrew Nordenfedlt equalised on the hour in a match that ended 1-1 with Bethshan needing more points to save the drop.
In Division Two Ryton Churches were 3-0 up at them to Jesmond Parish Athenians both teams fighting for promotion. Peter Sutherland scored twice with Gary Swanson netting the third. Before half time Jason Alexander pulled a goal back for Athenians. Keith Chambers scored for Athenians early in the second half. Jason completed his hat-trick to give Athenians an amazing 4-3 win taking them into second place.
Leaders Saint Peter's Low Fell travelled to Saint Aidens Chapel Castington. Clinton Storey opened the scoring for Saint Aidens. Richard Coxon equalised for saints just before the break. Goals from Chris Orr and a double from Vinny Richards gave Saint Aidens a 4-1 win with the three top teams all played 18 matches with three points between them.
Midtable Bethany had a 2-1 win over Yarm Emmanuel with Ronnie Smith and Dale Reid scoring for Bethany. David McQuillan netted for Yarm.
Jesmond Parish Church B went to Middlesbrough Baptist's and won 4-0. Sam Cunningham scored twice with strikes from Jeff Brown and Scott Martin.
Whitley Bay Baptist Church finally have won a match at the 17th attempt. Leading 3-1 at half time they went on to win 7-3. David Hope scored four with Jordan Murphy, Sam Storey and Ian Reaveley netting the others. Westgate Road Baptist Church had David Fowler, Steven Valentine and Kevin Porter on the score sheet.
