Bishop Auckland are facing a nervous end to the season on two fronts.
They go into the last full week of the UniBond League season knowing that if their proposed groundshare at Shildon isn't approved by the league, then they could be relegated to the First Division even if they avoid the promotion and relegation play offs.
After losing 2-1 at Worksop in midweek, Bishops are still level on points with Colwyn Bay, and have played a game less.
However, Bishops have three away games left to play - at Runcorn tomorrow, Droylsden on Tuesday and champions Burton next Friday.
Colwyn Bay have two games left - at Bradford Park Avenue tomorrow, and at home to Droylsden on Friday.
The League is expected to carry out an inspection of Shildon's ground before the play offs.
Whitby manager Harry Dunn will be careful about who he recruits as a temporary physio in future.
When Whitby played Hucknall recently, Whitby's regular physio was away on business, so Dunn brought in a replacement from Middlesbrough.
"We were sat on the bench, and suddenly one of our lads picked up a knock and went down.
"I watched play continue, then suddenly I realised that our physio wasn't on the bench next to me - he was crouched on the field next to our injured player.
"The referee suddenly realised what was happening, and stopped the game.
"I asked our physio why he'd gone on to the field, and he told me that he didn't realise he had to wait until the referee gave him permission - because he was a rugby league physio and they're allowed to come on to the field while play's going on!"
The results went in Spennymoor's favour in midweek, even though they didn't play.
After beating Trafford 4-1 on Saturday, Moors moved to fifth place in the table, which is the last play off place.
They thought they might be overtaken in midweek, but Leek Town lost 3-0 at Rossendale, while Gretna could have moved closer to them but they lost 3-1 at home to Witton Albion.
Moors are six points behind third placed Ashton United with just three games left - against Radcliffe (away) champions Harrogate (home) and Gretna (away).
The league has now confirmed that the play offs will take place in the first week in May. The semi finals are on Monday, May 6, kick off 3pm, and the play off final is three days later.
The third bottom in the Premier Division plays the fifth in the First Division, and the winners will be at home to the game between the third and fourth top clubs in the First Division.
