Durham City Under-17s mixed boys and girls water polo team recorded an excellent 14-8 victory over visitors Doncaster, with Anna Richardson top-scoring for Durham with four goals.
The first two quarters were even, leaving the half time score at 6-6. The half time team talk by City coach Oliver Metcalf obviously had the right effect, as Durham scored six goals in the third quarter to Doncaster's one. Durham also took the final quarter 2-1. "This was a well deserved result over a strong and experienced team," said Metcalf.
