SENIOR police officers from Germany and Holland are visiting the North-East this weekend on the last leg of a European tour aimed at reducing football-related disorder.
A delegation of 11 officers will be guests of Northumbria Police, studying the policing operations which take place before, during and after Newcastle and Sunderland's home matches.
The party will be at St James' Park for Newcastle's match against West Ham today, before visiting the Stadium of Light tomorrow.
The project has received European funding and Northumbria officers have already visited Germany and Holland to look at how officers abroad police matches
