THE Northern Echo has launched an online TV listings service.
Readers can check The Northern Echo's website for programmes on dozens of cable and satellite channels - far more than it is possible to carry in print - as well as last-minute schedule changes on the main channels.
Users can search for favour-ite programmes and custom-ise their choice of channels.
The information is provided by Digiguide, an industry-leading online scheduling service. The schedules sit on their server and are maintained centrally by them.
Schedule changes are implemented as soon as the broadcasters announce them.
Web editor Sheelagh Caygill said: "The new TV listings give our readers an extra service. They are very comprehensive and have the advantage of including last-minute changes, which cannot be done with print publications."
