CONCERNS are growing for a diabetic pensioner who is missing from home and may not have taken his medication all week.
Clifford Reed was seen by a number of people in his home town of Staindrop, County Durham, on Monday, but there have been no confirmed sightings since.
The 68-year-old is also thought to have been depressed by the imminent second anniversary of his mother's death.
He is single and lives alone in North Green.
Tees and Wear Search and Rescue Team spent yesterday covering ground in Staindrop and nearby Raby Castle, areas where he often went walking.
Mr Reed is 5ft 6in and stocky, with thinning, mousy hair. He wears glasses and has a scar on his forehead.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Barnard Castle Police on (01833) 637328
