Villagers in Heighington held an open day at the weekend to show off their renovated community hall. The village millennium project was to make the hall more accessible for people with disabilities.
The community raised money for the work through fundraising events and grants.
The open day coincided with a plea from Heighington Parish Council for support for plans to provide a sports field. The council has bought land for £24,000 and is applying to the Football Association for £100,000 to turn it into a sporting facility.
