A mini-concert series will bring music to library visitors next month.
The series, organised by Durham County Council, features guitarists James Birkett and Rod Sinclair, both lecturers at Newcastle College, playing popular melodies from the 1920s and 1930s at four libraries.
It will be launched on Tuesday, May 14, when the duo will play at Belmont library at 7pm.
On Wednesday, May 15, they will be at Barnard Castle at 7.30pm, followed on the Thursday with concerts at Annfield Plain at 2pm and Newton Hall at 7.30pm.
Tickets for each show are £4 with a £2 concession and are available from the host library.
County council development officer Alan Hood said that if the series was popular, it would be extended to more libraries.
