A NORTH-EAST company has been given the job of looking after industrial processing plants throughout Malaysia.
Engineering outfit AMEC, based in Darlington, will work with a Malaysian company to maintain the country's chemical, gas, oil and processing industries.
Health and safety regulations in Malaysia require that all industrial plants are shut down every 18 months for maintenance. AMEC will help to carry out these shutdowns and ensure all maintenance checks are carried out as quickly as possible.
The company will join forces with Malaysia firm, Dialog Plant Services, to carry out the work.
