SOCCER fan Andrew Pearson is looking forward to a dream trip to the World Cup finals in Japan.
Andrew, 21, a car mechanic, of Chester-le-Street, won the expenses-paid trip for two in a promotion by American beer firm Budweiser.
The company says that about 25 multi-packs of cans and bottles contain tiny transmitters that, when activated, send signals that enable the winner to be 'tracked down from space using state-of-the-art GPS satellite technology.'
Randall Blackford, UK marketing manager for brewers Anheuser-Busch Europe said: "Andrew's prize was the tenth Japan trip awarded so far which means there are still 15 trips to be won."
The prizes, which must be claimed by April 30, include airfares to Japan for two people, four nights hotel accommodation and tickets to two group games, one England and one Ireland match.
Andrew, who plans to take his cousin John Tatters, said: "I'm not bothered what match I see. It will be an experience, a once in a lifetime thing.'
